How Long Is The Session And What Do I Get?
Sessions are sixty- to ninety-minutes in length and are all-inclusive. This means that the creation/session fee, digital image files and prints are included in the price. Our basic package includes:
(20) high-resolution digital image files and (20) web-resolution copies (perfect for sharing on Facebook);
personal print release so you can print your images at your favorite lab;
(20) 5x7" professional photographic prints, AND
a beautiful custom-designed Keepsake Collection box to hold your prints.
In addition, maternity clients receive a $100 credit towards a newborn package.
When should my maternity session take place?
We encourage mommies-to-be to schedule their maternity portrait session between thirty to thirty-four weeks to capture that full baby bump. If mommies prefer an earlier date or a succession of dates, we can accommodate any schedule.
Can my maternity session include my spouse, significant other or children?
We love doing couple and family maternity sessions. There is no additional charge for a spouse or children to take part in the session, but the number of finished photographs will not increase.
Do you take outdoor portraits?
All of our maternity sessions are conducted outdoors in an agreed upon location. Some locations require a usage fee (Zilker Botanical Gardens and Mayfield Park, for example, each charge $50), but there are plenty of free locations available.
Do you offer discounts if we book maternity and newborn sessions together?
Yes! With our economical combo pricing, you save $200 when you book BOTH maternity and newborn sessions at the same time. This $200 credit is good for both the digital and standard sessions. Because of this special combo pricing, the $100 newborn credit from the maternity session does not apply.
Do you offer client proofing?
Each session comes with a set number of digital image files included. We always over-deliver on the number of images we edit so you have a choice of your final images. The images we present to you are the "best of the best" in our professional opinion (taking into account sharpness, exposure, composition, expressions, etc.) and have been edited from our raw digital negatives so they look their best. Most galleries will contain 25-30 edited images to proof. We do not offer proofing of images not included in your gallery and do not show unedited images.
Do you provide high-resolution digital image files?
Absolutely! All of our sessions are now all-inclusive, which means you'll receive a set number of high-resolution digital image files with your package purchase. We provide these by instant download for all clients (requires a Dropbox account). We don't stop there, however, because our standard session includes a full set of 5x7" prints so you have a hard copy of every one of your selected images, too!
What do I need to do to book?
Use our contact form, visit our Book Now page, or send us an email with the specifics for your session. All sessions must be paid in full before we begin. Sessions are invoiced initially via PayPal and are payable by PayPal account or credit card. Payments made the day of the session must be cash, personal check or credit card. We must also have a signed Agreement for Photography Services before we begin, which includes a model release.
Eternal Forms Photography maintains the copyright and master digital negatives for all client images. Eternal Forms Photography reserves the right to reproduce and distribute client images worldwide, in any county, at any time, in any media and for any purpose. Such use may include, but is not limited to: marketing, advertising, exhibition, competition and promotion.

What age should my baby be for his/her newborn session?
We photograph newborns up to two weeks old while they are still very flexible and prefer to be curled in a ball. The ideal time to take newborn portraits is when babies are five to ten days old. We do not perform newborn sessions past two weeks of age. Infants older than two-weeks can still be photographed, but we may be limited in the number of poses we can do and we cannot guarantee sleepy poses. Infants from two weeks of age to 8 weeks will be charged $500 for the first two hours with an additional $100 per extra session hour.
Do I need to bring anything with me?
If you want to personalize your session, we encourage you to plan the details with us ahead of time. If you want to incorporate a particular prop, blankets, hats or headbands, we'll work with you to select corresponding backdrops, floor drops and fabrics. Other items that we encourage you to bring are a pacifier, formula (if you're not breastfeeding), a warm blanket as well as a few clean diapers.
We want to send out birth announcements featuring photographs from our newborn session. Is this possible?
Absolutely! Of course, you'll have the digital images so you can create your own, but we also offer full-service custom design work on birth announcements. We'll take care of the design, ordering the cards and envelopes and will even have your return address pre-printed on the envelopes!
Do you offer discounts if we book maternity and newborn sessions together?
Yes! If you have a maternity session with us, you will automatically receive a $100 credit towards any of our newborn packages (non-transferable). If you book both sessions together at the same time, you'll earn an additional $100 credit for a total savings of $200. To qualify for this credit, you must book both newborn and maternity sessions at the same time.
